Almond Village is located near a beautiful rural village called Alsancak, which is based between the slopes of the magnificent Kyrenia Five Finger Mountains and the deep blue Mediterranean coastline. Almond is nestled 200metres away from the main road, especially designed to keep you safe from unwanted noise pollution but also very conveniently located for you to easily access local amenities and frequently available bus services.  Almond has the pleasure of having stunning uninterrupted mountain views and not having any towering buildings around it –therefore your privacy is well protected and those sun worshippers will have a sun trap all day long J

Alsancak, was built in the 18^th century by the people of Laphitos ( todays Lapta) on the ruins of city of Lambousa, one of the ten ancient kingdoms of Cyprus. Alsancak is the sister village to Lapta, which is believed to be the capital of the ancient city of Lambousa. Almond is only 1.5km walk to todays remnants of the historical city of Lambousa, which is on the coast and include its city walls, a number of stone tombs and a series of rock fish pools. Unfortunately due to the Arab raids and re-establishment of the two villages of Lapta & Alsancak today there is little left of the ancient city. Within a 10-15 minute walking distance you will find yourself in Alsancak and within a 20-30 minute walk you will find yourself in Lapta. At both Alsancak & Lapta villages you will have access to some beautiful historical treasures, springs & watermills, mountain trail walks and to the village cultures as well as many other amenities.

It has a sunbathing and diving porch, fresh water and sea water swimming pool, play ground, all water sports as well as Boat Trips and Sea Taxis, Quad bikes, Paintball and Music Bar/ Restaurant.

Local Transport; From the main road you will have access to frequently available local transport called Dolmus.  These busses are available to Kyrenia (our main town), Lapta (next village west), Karaoglanoglu (next village east) and to local beaches every 10 minutes from the main road at approximately 3.00 TL / £ 1.20p. If you would like to go to Nicosia, Famagusta, Guzelyurt, Bellapais, Esentepe - you will need to get the Dolmus to Kyrenia and then take another Dolmus to these destinations. Local transport is very easy and convenient for those who do not wish to hire a car. Other Local Beaches; Almond is only 10 minutes drive from other local beaches with/ without facilities - Merit Crystal Cove Beach, Mare Monte Beach, The Escape, Deniz Kizi, Golden Bay, Kervansaray, Lapta Incirli Beach, Rosy’s Beach and Horseshoe Bay. We are also only 10 minute drive from the best scuba diving centre in Cyprus “Amphora Diving Centre “based on the Escape beach which also operates from Almond Village and offers free pick up! There are also 3 other diving centers within 10-15 minute drive distance from Almond.

Spa & Wellness; Almond is only 10 minutes drive away from the best Spa & Turkish Bath facilities in the area based in Mercure Hotel.

Golf Course; Almond is 30-40 minutes drive from 2 golf courses, one of which is an 18 hole international course called Korineum.

Bellapais Abbey; Almond is also only 20 minute drive from The Medieval Temple Bellapais Abbey where many International Music Festivals are held. The Village of Bellapais as well as the Abbey is most stunning and offers a small selection of restaurants, cafes & gift shops.

Kyrenia.. Our Main Town: For those who wish to experience a livelier city with night life in Northern Cyprus – Kyrenia would be your first stop.... Kyrenia is only 15 minute drive east (12 km) from Almond Holiday Village, Alsancak. The stunning historical harbor front will offer you a wonderful selection of restaurants, taverns bars and cafes. These are most active in the high season.  Kyrenia also has a few open air beach clubs and a wide selection of casinos if you are feeling lucky!  Kyrenia is also home for many historical beauties such as the Kyrenia Castle which is home for oldest Shipwreck known and Archangelos Mikhael Church which is currently acting as an icon museum.
